Tobacco and E-Cigarettes
Tobacco use is the leading cause of preventable death and disease in the United States. Cigarette smoking alone kills 28,000 Texans each year. Tobacco use can cause cancer, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, and have many other negative health effects. Increased tobacco prevention and cessation funding is needed to help prevent these negative outcomes for Texans.
